In 2017, the Historical Foundation has embarked down a path to make our agricultural heritage a permanent part of the museum assets and create a living exhibit that will provide visitors a hands-on opportunity to learn about our historical cash crops and the role agriculture played in regional development. The project incorporates three key components.
Installing raised beds for cotton, indigo and other significant plantings including informational stations.
Enhancing the physical appearance of the museum complex.
Providing improved handicapped access to the museum.
Connecting these components will be our “Brick by Brick” pathway where you, our friends and donors, can help make these changes a reality by buying a brick (or two or three). To paraphrase L. Frank Baum from the Wizard of Oz, “follow the Brick by Brick road” link to join the effort.
Without you, our pathway won’t be complete. Click the link above to get started.
